3rd floor and Framing!

So I went by the house site today (surprise surprise!!) while I was in the area, and it looked like they had made a lot of progress on my block.  It was a pretty quiet afternoon so I got out of the car, dragged my best friend along, walked up the very muddy road up to my house (all while my friend was cursing me out because she was getting mud on her shoes but because she's my bestest friend, she kept walking anyways...lol), and took a closer look. It looks like they've finished framing the third floor on my house!! There was also a really big structure in front of the block that I assume is the roof that they've put together and it's just waiting to be hoisted on top of the block!!

It's exciting because it's actually starting to LOOK like a house, which again, makes the whole thing seem so REAL! I! CAN! NOT! WAIT!!

Of course I took pictures and then I broke out the good ol' paint application on my computer and have labelled the house areas accordingly.

Only 3 more months!! A little 'HIP!', a bit of 'HIP!' then a big ol' HURRAAAAAAYYYYY!! lol

Framing Update

I went by the site today to take a look at framing. It looks like they've finished the ceiling on the second level and have started framing the third level. AH!! It's so exciting to see all this coming together. I got to the site at about 4 and they were still really hard at work with big machinery.I killed some time and came back around 6 to take this picture. It still came out even though it's so dark so that's a testament to the flash on my camera...whoo!

I'm still not positive how they are going to be able to complete a well built home by May 25 when they're still framing, but here's hoping that the weather continues to be as nice as it has been and that they're able to stay on track. Needless to say that after waiting almost 3 years for my first house, if I have anything more than aesthetic problems, I'm going to be more than a little peeved!!

More Framing!

I went by the site today and while it was pretty quiet, I was happy to see that they had done more framing in the week!! It looks like the second floor is currently getting framed and I saw a peek of my kitchen walls going up too. This is the sight that greeted me and needless to say that after all the disappointment and delays that have happened of late, this was a GREAT surprise and treat to have! The space over the garage is my great room and the other large cut out will be my french doors that will lead out to the deck. I'm getting crazy excited now to see more and more things being built and put together for MY house!! WHOO HOO! Keep it comin!
